100 ára afmæli bókasafns

Bókasafnið okkar á 100 ára afmæli í ár, 2023.

Grundarfjarðarbær og bókasafnið munu fagna því með viðburði og rifja upp söguna. Við hvetjum íbúa til að hittast á bókasafninu og gera sér dagamun.

Ýmsir munir í eigu bókasafnsins verða til sýnis næstu tvær vikur og sagan verður sýnd í Bæringsstofu í myndasýningu á venjulegum opnunartímum, mánudaga til fimmtudaga frá kl. 13-17. 

Það vantar nokkuð af myndum frá tímanum fram að aldamótum og verður myndum sem fólk leggur til bætt inn eftir því sem þær berast til bokasafn@grundarfjordur.is.

Fimmtudaginn 28. september verður afmælisfögnuður og opið hús í Sögumiðstöðinni kl. 18:00-19:30.

Íbúar og aðrir gestir bókasafnsins eru boðnir velkomnir að fagna þessu stórafmæli með okkur.

Alla vikuna fram að 28. september verður ratleikur um bæinn í umsjón ratleikjasérfræðinga skólabókasafnsins. Ratleikurinn fer fram í gegnum app og getur hver sem er tekið þátt.

Við vonumst til að sem flestir sjái sér fært að sækja bókasafnið þessa dagana og gleðjast með okkur á þessum merku tímamótum.

To the residents of Grundarfjörður  

Our library is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, 2023.

The town of Grundarfjörður and the library will celebrate with an event and we encourage everyone to meet at the library.

Various items owned by the library will be on display for the next two weeks and the history in pictures will be shown in Bæringsstofa on a slide show during regular opening hours, Monday to Thursday from 13-17.

Some photos from the time up until the turn of the century are missing, and photos that people contribute will be added as they are received at bokasafn@grundarfjordur.is  

On Thursday September 28th we will celebrate with a reception and birthday coffee in the Heritage center at 18:00. Residents and other visitors of the library are welcome to celebrate this anniversary with us.  

Throughout the week up until September 28, there will be a game of clues all over the town supervised by the school library. This orienteering game takes place through an app and anyone can participate.

We hope that as many people as possible will visit the library these days and rejoice with us at this momentous milestone.
